In the mountain city of Chongqing, on April 15, the Organizing Committee of the 2023 Asian Cup in China brought together the heads of match and venue operations from ten regions for a two-day in-depth training and seminar.
This marked the first offline meeting of the year for the Asia Cup Organizing Committee in China. He Xi, Deputy Secretary General of the Organizing Committee, elaborated on the progress of the preparations for the Asian Cup to the delegates. The Match Department invited experienced AFC tournament experts to share their valuable experience and knowledge on the management of tournament arrangements, and the participants actively studied and exchanged ideas, resulting in a lively atmosphere. Fei Jian, Director of the Match Department of the Asian Cup Organizing Committee in China, emphasized that this is the second offline exchange training, aiming to improve the level of the tournament in each region through systematic training to ensure the smooth running of the Asian Cup.
In addition, the heads of venue construction from the ten host cities also attended the venue construction work conference. Zhao Jinfu, Director of the Venue Security Department of our Organizing Committee, emphasized the key nodes of the venue construction, and asked all the regions to speed up the progress under the premise of ensuring the safety and production, and gave a detailed explanation of the work focus in the next stage.
Shi Qiang, Secretary General of the Organizing Committee of the Asian Cup in China, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, in which he emphasized that the tournament zones should grasp all the preparations and make steady progress, pointing out that, "We have to be soberly aware of the time constraints and heavy tasks in the preparation for hosting the tournament, enhance the sense of urgency, sense of responsibility and sense of mission, and push forward all the work in strict accordance with the plan." At the same time, Shi Qiang also particularly emphasized that communication and collaboration should be strengthened between the regions, between the regions and the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee, and between different business departments within the regions to form an effective communication mechanism and jointly contribute to the success of the Asian Cup.
On the 16th, the participants visited the construction site of Chongqing Longxing Football Stadium.
The construction of Longxing soccer field is progressing well. According to the person in charge of the on-site construction unit, Longxing Football Stadium is under construction on the ground four-storey structure (including the negative layer, a total of five floors), the concrete main structure construction has been completed 85%, is expected to start on April 20, steel structure lifting, April 30 days before the completion of the main structure construction. The project leader said that Chongqing is confident in ensuring the quality of the project under the premise of the organizing committee's request to complete the project on schedule, laying a solid foundation for the preparation of the 2023 China Asian Cup in Chongqing.
