On the spring afternoon of April 1, the fate of the 2021 China B League was finally revealed. 24 competitive teams were cleverly divided into three divisions, with China's U20 National Youth Football Team unexpectedly drawn into Group B, where their journey will lead them to Yancheng. In the same group is the powerful Qingdao Hainiu team.
The new season of the Chinese B League will start in Duyun, Yancheng, Luxi three major tournaments in the fierce competition, the game will be officially lit on May 15th. According to the system, 24 teams will be evenly divided into three groups in the first stage, with eight teams in each group playing an intense double round-robin match. The top teams and the third best two groups, totaling eight teams, will advance to the next stage. The remaining 16 teams, on the other hand, make up a fierce showdown - the relegation group - who will also compete in a double round-robin competition.
In the Promotion Group, the top two finishers will be directly promoted to the Central League, while the third and fourth finishers will play a lift playoff against the bottom and bottom two finishers of the Central League, with the winners earning a spot in the 2022 season of the Central League, while the losers return to the 2022 season of the Central League Two. In the relegation group, the last place (i.e. eighth) in each group will be relegated to the Chinese Champions League, while the second-to-last (i.e. seventh) will play a lift playoff against the fifth and sixth place of the Chinese Champions League, with the winners continuing to fight it out in the Chinese B League while the losers drop to the Chinese Champions League, but the top four teams of the Chinese Champions League will be promoted directly to the Chinese B League.
According to the established plan, the number of participating teams in the 2022 season of the Chinese B League will remain the same as the 2021 season, which is still 24 teams.
