Only six days after the adjustment of the national football lineup, Hou Yongyong won a double award. He was the only one in the Norwegian Premier League, with 19 goals in 29 matches and 8 assists, and was honored as the MVP of the Norwegian League and the Golden Boot. It's a staggering list of accomplishments. However, the brilliant performance of this atypical midfielder has failed to get him a place in the national soccer team, stirring up a lot of discussion.

As a naturalized force in the national team, Hou Yongyong's treatment in the club and the national team is vastly different. After naturalization, he failed to get adequate attention, and was forced to return to the Norwegian game to play as a foreigner. Despite the eye-catching performance in Norway, fans have called on the national football team to call him back to the team, but his national team strength is still a matter of opinion.

Personally, I don't think there's any basis for such speculation, regardless of whether Hou Yongyong can play for the national team or not. The coaching staff of the national team is fully capable of going to the Norwegian League to inspect the team in person, or directly recalling him to train with the national team players, so as to fully assess his strengths through the actual battle test.
