Li Jin Yu, the former golden boot of the national soccer team, turned to coach the Jianlibao youth team during the time he was coaching Li Tie and Li Weifeng and other stars who traveled across the ocean to study in Brazil. He led the Liaoning Ironmen, with a backbone of four powerhouse foreigners, to fight their way through the fierce Central League Two, ending the season with two consecutive victories. With a slim margin of victory, the Liaoning Ironmen managed to overtake Chongqing Tongliang Dragons, last season's Chinese B League champions, with both teams reaching 50 points, and the Liaoning Ironmen jumped to fourth place in the table, seeing the door to the Chinese Super League.

In Pingguo, Guangxi, Chongqing Tongliang Dragons dropped to fifth place in the standings after a 1-1 draw at home against a solid opponent.

Shijiazhuang Kung Fu, on the other hand, beat Suzhou Dongwu with a clean 2-0 win at home, leaving both teams with 48 points, sixth and seventh in the table respectively. Guangxi Pingguo Ha Loud and Clear is in eighth place with 47 points.

Nanjing City ranked ninth with 34 points, while Foshan Southern Lions beat Yanbian Longding 1-0 on the road and ranked 10th with 32 points. Shanghai Jiading Huilong and Yanbian Longding are in the 11th and 12th places respectively with 31 points.

Qingdao Red Lions managed to climb up to 13th place in the table with 27 points after a 2-1 victory over their relegated opponents at their home ground in Heilongjiang Bingcheng. Qingdao Red Lions, on the other hand, are in the bottom three (14th place) with 26 points.

Wuxi Wu Hooks played away from home but lost 0-2 to early relegation vice-champion Jiangxi Lushan, finishing second from bottom with 22 points, while Jiangxi Lushan is at the bottom of the table with a 19-point deficit. The two teams are about to be jointly promoted to China B team.
