Looking at Guangzhou's squad, the individual strength alone may not be the top choice in domestic soccer, but when they work together, the team's power can show amazing synergy, like the wonderful law of 1+1>2. Admittedly, there are very few active international players in the team, and even if they are lucky enough to be selected, they can rarely occupy a stable starting position.
It's worth noting that Yu Menghui, a player for Nanjing City in this win over Guangzhou, was originally a former senior at the Evergrande Soccer School. Rumor has it that he spent a full nine years there, and is a complete product of Evergrande's youth training. As a result, Yu Menghui, after helping his team to a 2-1 comeback win over Guangzhou, did nothing to celebrate (as shown in the photo above), but instead clasped his head with both hands, revealing a hint of pain (see photo below).
Nonetheless, it has been a rewarding season for Guangzhou. Not only did they achieve their relegation goal many rounds ahead of schedule in the league, but they also far exceeded their expectations and almost touched the border of victory. The only flaw, perhaps, is that this young team's psychological quality is slightly insufficient when under pressure, and once faced with heavy pressure, they are prone to mental imbalance. This will be a challenge for Guangzhou to overcome in the coming season.
