Observing the match in action, Shanghai Jiading Huilong showed admirable athleticism and gave the hosts a great challenge as they went all out from once down to equalize. Had it not been for Dalian Yingbo's goal in injury time, the match might have ended in a draw. A draw would have been extremely favorable to Guangzhou, as it would have allowed them to advance directly to the Chinese Super League instead of Dalian Imbo if they had beaten Nanjing City.

Just when the passion of Evergrande's fans hadn't fully subsided, Shanghai Jiading Huilong staged a brilliant operation. Just two minutes later in the 60th minute, the visitors couldn't wait to replace two players at once. One of them was foreign striker Evans Eddy (see photo above), who was replaced by 18-year-old winger Li Xi'nan. As per common sense, the team had just equalized and things were looking up. Unless someone was injured or suffering from cramps, substituting two men in this situation was baffling.

Shanghai Jiading Huilong started the match with three foreigners, with two on active duty on the field. By the 78th minute, the visitors had another chance to make a substitution. In the 83rd minute, they made another two substitutions, with another foreign forward, Magno, also being replaced (see above). At this point, only the last foreigner Dominic was left on the field. The score remained 1-1, and if Guangzhou had taken the lead, Dalian Imbo would have had no chance to capitalize.

After removing two foreign strikers consecutively, Shanghai Jiading Huilong's offense was obviously weakened, and the last 10 minutes almost turned into an offensive drill for the home team. After a sustained attack, the visitors eventually exposed their weaknesses. In the 91st minute, Zhu Pengyu seized the opportunity in the penalty area and leapt up to send the ball into the opponent's goal with precision, helping Dalian Yingbo to get the victory and successfully complete the overtaking.

Then look at the Guangzhou team that played against Nanjing. The players were in an anxious mood and did not perform well. Not only did they fail to win, but they were reversed by the home team and declared a failure to overtake! Emotionally speaking, Shanghai Jiading Huilong didn't have to fight hard for Guangzhou against Dalian Yingbo. It's also their right to make substitutions. We can only say that Guangzhou finally lost to themselves and failed to capitalize on many chances before. Three consecutive draws made them lose the initiative to overtake. No wonder the outside world would comment so.
