The third stage of the U21 League came to a close with many young talents making their debut, including Shanghai Shenhua star Liu Chengyu, who took 14 goals in three consecutive matches to become the leader of the scorer's list.
The August fixtures saw the U19 national team take on Iran U19, finishing with a 2-0 win in one match and a sorry 0-2 defeat in the other.

In order to make an impact on the China First Division and China Second Division, the players actively communicated with each other, and many of the main players were able to stay in the team, such as Zhu Pengyu of Dalian Yingbo and Yao Hao Yang of Yunnan Yukun. Mao Weijie of Dalian Yingbo chose to join the National Youth Football League after accumulating four yellow cards.
With Mao Weijie and Qu Geping's performances in the youth ranks under scrutiny, will the U19s be able to make a go of it in the upcoming matches?
