In the Peace Cup Youth International Football Invitational Tournament held in Shenyang, the U16 national football team beat Vietnam and Uzbekistan U16 in succession, and won the championship with an impressive record of two wins and one loss. It's worth mentioning that Xinjiang players made a big splash in the tournament, occupying four starting positions.
In preparation for the 2024 Asian Junior Championship qualifiers, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) has organized a training session for the U16 national junior team. Among them, Ebibullah Nur Ajee, wearing the No. 10 jersey, had an eye-catching performance. He drew 0:0 with Vietnam U16 team in the first match of the invitational tournament and created many good scoring opportunities for his teammates. In the second round of the tournament against Japan U16 team, Ebibullah scored a wonderful world wave, which became the biggest highlight of the game.
Among the U16 national soccer team, Ebibullah Nur Aji from Xinjiang is in the spotlight. He entered Chengdu Derui Football Training Center for professional training at the age of nine and was named to the U15 League's annual CFA Youth Championship Best XI in 2023. In January this year, 15-year-old Ebibullah was promoted to the first team by Chengdu Rongcheng head coach Xu Zhengyuan.
Talking about his dream, Ebibullah said, "My goal is to appear in the Super League as soon as possible and hopefully be selected for the national team."
It is worth mentioning that the other three Xinjiang players in the U16 national soccer team also performed well. Shandong Taishan Football Club goalkeeper Yihsan Yilamu won the honor of best goalkeeper, while Evergrande Soccer School defender Alinizar Rohman and striker Bunyamin Abdu Shalamu also performed well.
After the match, U16 National Football Team Head Coach Kenichi Uemura said, "This four-nation tournament has been very rewarding, and I hope that the players will apply what they have learned to the U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers."
The Group C matches of the 2024 Asian Junior Championship will be held from October 19 to 27 in Dalian. According to the draw, China's U16 boys will be in the same group as South Korea, Bahrain, Bhutan and Maldives. Except for host Saudi Arabia, the first place of 10 groups and the second place of five groups will qualify for the finals in April next year.
