On the 26th, FC Bayern Munich officially announced a heavy news on its official website: senior team doctor Prof. Holger Broich will say goodbye to the team on July 1, ending their decade-long close partnership.

A report on the official website mentions that since joining Bayern in the summer of 2014, the 49-year-old specialist has assumed responsibility for the scientific, performance diagnostic and fitness departments of the men's first team soccer team, as well as taking full responsibility for the health of the youth team.

"Prof. Holger Broich has been a key part of Bayern's successful decade. He combines scientific theory with practical experience in areas ranging from player performance analysis to training programs to the development of young talent. This restructuring is a complete renewal of our expertise and a significant change from last year. We pay tribute to the extraordinary achievements of Prof. Holger, whose outstanding personal contribution cannot be overlooked, and we wish him all the best for the future."

Broich himself said, "Over the past ten years, I feel honored to have created a period of glory with Bayern. I would like to thank the club for their support, encouragement and trust over the years and wish Bayern all the best for the future."

Broich completed his studies on training and performance at the Sport University of Cologne, where he earned a degree in sports science. After graduating, he started his career at Leverkusen, where he worked as Senior Sports Scientist, Fitness and Rehabilitation Coach from 2003 to 2014.In the 2014-15 season, he moved to Bayern, where he had overall responsibility for science, performance diagnostics and training from the first team to the youth team.

During his tenure at Bayern, the team won the Bundesliga title for nine consecutive years and won major honors such as the UEFA Champions League, the Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, as well as three German Cups and six German Super Cups.
