In the 29th minute, the game changed suddenly! A long pass from the Romanian striker was not intercepted by Lunin, and Stanciu hit a brilliant long-range shot from the top of the arc that cut through the night sky like a meteor! Romania take the lead 1-0 and Ukraine are on the back foot.
In the 34th minute, Romania's corner kick attack from the left was deflected and Sudakov's counterattack came close, but the referee failed to blow it. In the 36th minute, Mudric got the ball from the left, Dragusin quickly header clearance, Ukraine corner attack, Mudric's shot was blocked by teammates.
Stanciu nearly converted again in the 40th minute when he hit the crossbar off a Romanian corner kick.

After the changeover, Romania added a second goal in the 53rd minute! Denis Mann was blocked on the right and Razvan Marin fired home from distance to extend Romania's advantage 2-0.
Romania added another point in the 57th minute! Latiu was blocked on the edge of the box and from a Romanian corner kick, Dennis Mann's cross was easily deflected into an empty net by Dragus to give Romania a 3-0 lead.
In the 62nd minute, both sides made personnel changes, with Romania replacing two and Ukraine replacing three. In the 64th minute, Mudryk sent a precise cross in the middle of the field, and Yarmolenko headed in the goal.
Konoplyanka received a yellow card for a foul in the 68th minute and Stanciu hit the side netting with a shot from a free kick on Romania's left side.
In the 69th minute, Ukraine was awarded a free kick and Sudakov's shot hit the bottom of the wall. In the 76th minute, Yarmolenko's diagonal pass from the right side led to Sudakov's shot from distance, Ukraine's first head-to-head match of the tournament.
Sudakov scored in the 78th minute and Yaremchuk's shot on the turn was also blocked.
In the 79th minute, Razvan Marin brought down Mudrick and received a yellow card. In the 84th minute, Dovbik sent a direct kick to Mudrick's goal.
Romania made a substitution in the 86th minute, with Stanciu accepting the change to the applause of the crowd.
Four minutes were added to the second half, and in the 92nd minute, Yaremchuk fired a shot from the front of the box that went high, and Mudrick fired a shot from outside the box that the goalkeeper managed to save.
The final whistle blew and Romania beat Ukraine 3-0 in a clean sweep to win their first match of the group stage.
