On June 11, Evergrande Soccer Academy announced that Brazilian soccer star Coach Maccio will be the coach of the school.
Marcio has had an illustrious playing career with Brazilian First Division giants Flamengo, but his coaching career has been just as glittering. He has coached professional club teams in Portugal and Brazil, and has even set his sights on Guangxi Pingguo Ha Loud and Clear's reserve team in China's Central League. Dating back to 2018, Masio has single-handedly built the brilliance of Brazil's Canto do Rio de Janeiro U14 champions Rio FC.
In the field of youth training, Mascio has been very successful, with a number of his U18/U19 players making it to professional clubs in the Barclays Premier League and Barclays B. He has also trained a number of players who have gone on to play for professional clubs in the Barclays Premier League.
