On May 22nd, the winds and clouds changed as the Chinese Football Association (CFA) unveiled its 29-player squad for the upcoming world qualifying tournament in June. However, Guoan's stars Zhang Yuning, Lin Liangming and Li Lei were unfortunately left out.
In this list, Guoan only has a representative Fang Hao selected, while Zhang Yuning, Li Lei, Lin Liangming and other strength players are due to different degrees of injuries, can not be draped in the lineup.
Zhang Yuning has an unfortunate injury to the medial collateral ligament in his left knee and is expected to be out for 4-6 weeks; Li Lei is unfortunate to have suffered a torn anterior ligament in his left Achilles' heel and is out of action for at least 8 weeks; and Lin Liangming is equally unfortunate to have suffered a strained biceps in his left thigh and is out of action for at least 2 weeks.
Nonetheless, Fang Hao has had a solid season, contributing a goal in 10 games for Guoan.
