Today, the top of Chinese soccer unveiled a squad of 29 elite players preparing for June's international soccer battles. Surprisingly, senior player Wu Xi was again left out of this list, a regret that was repeated after the qualifiers in March.

Dating back to July 28, 2011, when China's soccer team beat Laos in a World Cup qualifier with a brilliant 6-1 victory away from home, 22-year-old Wu Xi made his debut for the national team on that day.

So far, Wu Xi has played 90 international A-level matches for the national team, contributing nine goals. This season, he has played 13 matches for Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Super League, picking up an impressive statistic of 1 goal and 1 assist.
