In news from May 16th, the top of German soccer announced a major decision - the contract renewal of the men's national team's assistant coaching staff was successfully completed, followed by the unveiling of their squad of players for the Europa League.

The German Football Association (DFB) declared with great joy: We are honored to renew the right-hand men's national team - Wagner, Gluck, Buttgereit and goalkeeper coach Cronenberg - with new contracts until the end of the 2026 World Cup in the Americas!

I am extremely proud and excited to be working alongside my coaching team and we will work tirelessly to inspire our fans by pursuing great things for the German national team," enthused National Team Head Coach Jürgen Nagelsmann. We will strive for excellence in the upcoming UEFA Europa League on home soil, the UEFA Nations League and the 2026 World Cup. I am surrounded by a team of exceptional strength, both professionally and personally, and I have full confidence in them!"

It's worth noting that the DFB not only signed a new contract with Nagelsmann himself, covering the period up to the 2026 World Cup, but this time also agreed on a contract extension with his coaching team.
