On March 30, Beijing Youth Daily disclosed that Oscar expressed his willingness to naturalize to Cangzhou Lions earlier this year.

Cangzhou head coach Zhao Junzhe also said yesterday that Oscar himself was in favor of naturalization and that the club would do its best to assist if needed.

Oscar, 24, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, plays as a center forward, stands 1.82 meters tall and uses his right foot.

In 2018, Oscar joined Yanbian Fude and started his soccer career in China.In 2019, he moved to Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic and in 2020, Oscar joined Cangzhou Lions. In 15 games for Yanbian Fude, he contributed 10 goals and 3 assists; in 27 games for Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic, he contributed 22 goals and 2 assists; and in 98 games for Cangzhou Lions, he scored 28 goals and dished out 18 assists. This season, Oscar has scored three goals in four matches in the Chinese Super League.
