In a March 10 news report, a SimonBBC reporter quoted Stone's analysis, stating that the future direction of Ten Hahn's career at United was unclear, and that his stay or departure would not be determined by the team's ability to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League.

Although Sir Ratcliffe emphasized the importance of reaching the Champions League last month, Ten Hahn's stay or departure is not dependent on United winning a ticket to the Champions League. Currently, the Inglis Group is taking full responsibility for United's footballing affairs. Sir Dave Brailsford attends matches frequently and is a strong supporter behind the scenes as a structural change is brewing at the club. Berrada, the man set to take over as United's chief executive this summer, has a background that has seen him gain valuable experience during his time at City Football Group and Manchester City, covering men's and women's soccer operations and transfer negotiations.

Newcastle director Ashworth is expected to be the newest member of the United squad alongside Berrada. But United, for their part, have insisted they will not pay Ashworth's £20million release fee, despite widespread speculation that United may end up paying for it, as they did for Berrada.

As well as Ashworth, Southampton's Wilcox and Crystal Palace's Friedman have also been mooted as potential candidates for United.

Simon Stone further pointed out that the probability of Ten Hahn remaining in charge next season cannot be ignored either. Considering the impact that sacking the coach could have on the club's finances, as well as the potential fluctuations in the opinions of United's management, the likelihood of Ten Hahn staying on remains.
