After some tacit negotiations, Spanish manager Ibán Cuadrado officially stepped in today to become the helmsman of the first team of Wuxi Wuhu Football Club.

Born on February 21, 1979, this elite footballer thrived at the La Masia youth camp, playing alongside superstars such as Xavi and Iniesta. He began his career at Barcelona and went on to play for European giants such as Morsia, Málaga and Rayo Vallecano, before moving to China in 2013 to join Shanghai Dongya, and then to Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng in 2015, where he helped the team leapfrog to the Super League the following year.

In 2017, Iban chose to retire from the game in favor of a coaching career. He kicked off his coaching career in Murcia and returned to his native Barcelona in 2018 as an assistant coach for the U17s and U18s, helping the team to win the U17 and U18 league championships.As the head coach of the Barcelona U18s from 2021 to 2023, he not only earned the UEFA Professional Coaching Certificate, but also led the team to win the Indonesian U18 International Championship and the U18MIC International Championship of distinction.
