Creating a buzz in Spanish soccer circles is the magnificent turnaround of Zambian soccer star Rachel Kundanangi. The 23-year-old woman, recently said goodbye to the Madrid women's soccer team to join the United States Gulf Coast Soccer Club for a transfer fee of 735,000 euros, a price that broke the all-time high for women's soccer transfer fees.

Back in January this year, Gulf FC had made an offer of 400,000 euros for Kundanangi, which was politely rejected by Madrid Women's Football Club. However, time has moved on and now Gulf FC has spared no expense and managed to sign the talented player for a termination fee of 735,000 euros, signing her to a five-year contract.

The birth of this transfer record has undoubtedly reinvigorated the transfer market for women's soccer teams. Previously, the record transfer fee for a women's team was held by Ramirez, who moved from Levante to Chelsea for a total of €500,000 (including a €450,000 transfer fee and €50,000 in add-ons).
