On February 16, Manchester United club staff Li Miao revealed that Dong Fangzhuo, a Chinese star who struggled in the Red Devils' lineup in the past, stepped into the Hall of Honor of Manchester United, carrying the exclusive locker room jersey of the Chinese team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Tung recalls, "When I first set foot in the Manchester United Museum, I realized that the imprints of Chinese culture were so few and far between that it seemed I could count them on my fingertips alone. And today, I have finally accomplished something that has been on my mind for a long time."

Dating back to January 2004, at the age of 19, he joined Manchester United for an astronomical transfer fee of £3.5 million and became an instant international soccer sensation. After a short loan spell at Antwerp, he rose to prominence as the top scorer in the Belgian second division. However, injuries overshadowed his career and he eventually had no choice but to hang up his boots in 2016.

On the national team stage, Dong joined his teammates in the Olympic Games and scored the first and only goal in Olympic history for China against New Zealand.
