Jeju United has welcomed a soccer veteran, Kim Hak-bum. The former head coach of the Chinese Super League's Henan Jianye team, as well as the former coach of South Korea's U23 national team, is now officially inaugurated as Jeju United's head coach.
Back in November 2010, Henan Jianye of the Chinese Super League experienced a coaching change. Tang Yaodong stepped down and Jin Hefan took over, signing a three-year contract. After six years, Kim Hak Bum is once again in the position of the club's coach. He has earned the nickname "Hak Bum Sam" for his excellent team management skills and tactical planning. In an announcement, Jeju United officials praised Kim's ability to provide strong motivation to the players.
In an interview, Kim Hak-bum said, "Jeju United is a strong team, but our goal is not only to become a good team, but also to try to create a strong division that will intimidate our opponents. I will do my best to help the players build their confidence and try to make Jeju United achieve great results in the future." He added with anticipation, "I am already looking forward to next season."
