The South Korean men's soccer team swept Singapore by an overwhelming 5-0 margin in the first round of the 36-team World Qualifying Tournament on November 16th. After the match, Kim Min Jae, who was in the press area, faced the camera and the conversation naturally turned to the Chinese soccer team.

When asked a direct question about whether there are any Beijing Guoan players on the Chinese national team, Kim Min Ja was blunt: "I have a much closer relationship with my teammates who play side by side with me, and I can go into detail about them. As for other players, the degree of understanding is really more limited."

Reflecting on his experience joining Beijing Guoan at the beginning of 2019, Kim Min Jae mentioned that despite his move away in the summer of 2021, there are still four players in the Beijing Guoan squad who have been selected for the national team today, namely Zhang Yuning, Li Lei, Li Ke and Gao Tianyi. Of particular note is the fact that the first three players had the experience of playing with him during his time with Beijing Guoan.

The intensity of the upcoming match will undoubtedly escalate when China hosts South Korea in Shenzhen.
