With the final chapter of the Central League season slowly descending, Guangxi Pingguo Ha Loud and Clear Football Club has officially announced that former international footballer Zou Zheng, who is 35 years old or younger, will hang up his boots and retire after this weekend's finale.
On November 5, Guangxi Pingguo Ha Loud and Clear will usher in the final battle of the season at home, and Zou Zheng will also hold a farewell ceremony after this game, ending his brilliant soccer career.
The 35-year-old veteran has played for a number of clubs including Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao (now Guangzhou), Guangzhou R&F (later renamed Guangzhou City, now disbanded), Qingdao Zhongneng (now Qingdao Hainiu), Qingdao Yellow Sea (later renamed Qingdao, now disbanded), Sichuan Jiuiu and Guangxi Pingguo Ha Rong. During his time at Evergrande, Zou Zheng not only won the 2015 AFC Champions League title, the 2016-2017 Chinese Super League treble and the 2016 AFC Cup with the team, but also appeared in three matches on behalf of China's national soccer team and recorded two assists.
