As the Chinese Super League draws to a close, all the lords have been rubbing their fists and planning their lineup updates for the upcoming season. Shandong Taishan is no exception, as they are secretly laying the groundwork for a new chapter in the coming season.
The aging of the team is becoming more and more obvious, and Taishan is bound to undergo some drastic renovation. A group of veterans will wave goodbye at the end of the season. Recently, 36-year-old Belgian foreign aid Fellaini announced that he will terminate his contract with the club before the end of the year, completely ending his career in Shandong Taishan.
Despite his advanced age, Fellaini still maintains a decent competitive form. After Guo Tianyu was embroiled in the investigation fiasco, Cressan was more adapted to the winger position. This season, Fellaini has often been tasked by coach Choi Kang-hee to play as a center forward. He has lived up to the hype and has contributed 11 goals to the team so far, tying with Klassan for the top spot in the scorers' table.
Fellaini's departure means Guo Tianyu can't return, and coupled with Pato's poor performance in the summer window, Taishan's center forward berth faces a serious challenge next season. Fortunately, the return of a young player is expected to ease the pressure on the team, and that is local senior center forward Baihulamu Abdouwaili, who has been loaned to Sichuan Jiuniu this season.
Baihulamu, a young talent from Xinjiang, joined the Shandong Taishan youth team in 2021. With his outstanding performance in the ladder team, he was able to represent Taishan in the AFC Champions League last year and made a big impact in the group stage.
However, due to the large number of veterans in the team, Byhramu struggled to gain a foothold in the Taishan team. In the past two seasons, he was sent out on loan to work out. This season, he joined Sichuan Jiuiu team. His performance in Jiu Niu has made him famous. Currently, he has scored 5 goals and 1 assist in 13 matches in the Chinese League.
It is worth mentioning that in the last round of the Central League match between Sichuan Jiu Niu and Wuxi Wu Hook, Baihe Lamu gave a key assist to the foreign striker to help him open the first record, and 15 minutes later, he once again stepped forward to score a goal to help Sichuan Jiu Niu beat the opponent 4-0, locking the qualification of next season's Chinese Super League in three rounds ahead of schedule, and contributing to the team's success.
Standing at 1.83 meters tall, Byhramu not only possesses excellent physical quality and defensive awareness, but his diligence is no less than a well-rounded forward player. With his outstanding performance in the league, he has been selected for the Olympic team several times. Jiuniu club even intended to buy out his contract and bring him officially from Taishan, but the offer was rejected by Taishan.
At the end of this season, Byhramu will return to Shandong Taishan. His return will inject a new force into the team's forward line. If he performs well in the winter training, I believe Coach Choi Kang-hee will give him more opportunities. As a potential successor to Fellaini, he is expected to be a key rotation player in the center forward position of the team next season.
We sincerely wish that Byhramu can grow up quickly and take up the team's heavy responsibility soon, become the front-field killer of Taishan and become a member of the Chinese men's soccer team someday in the future.
