In the Chinese Super League (CSL), Qingdao Hainiu team hides two descendants of soccer families. One of them is 24-year-old Liu Chaoyang, whose father Liu Bin was once a star of Sichuan soccer; the other is 23-year-old Hao Haiyi, whose father Hao Wei was once the coach of Shandong Luneng.

Liu Chaoyang won the praise of the fans with his outstanding performance in the battle of Chang'an in the Shaanxi China A-League last season. Although he only got 10 starts, he contributed to the team with 7 goals and 1 assist. Liu Chaoyang, who is known to have inherited his father Liu Bin's soccer talent, was expected to occupy a starting position after joining Qingdao Hainiu. However, it was not to be, and his situation in Qingdao was saddening. After the first 27 rounds of the tournament, Liu Chaoyang only had three chances to play in the Chinese Super League, and was reduced to a marginal player in the team.

In contrast, Hao Haiyi's experience with Qingdao Hainiu is even more dismal. Since joining the team on loan in April, Hao has been left out in the cold. After 27 rounds of Chinese Super League matches, he failed to get even a minute of playing time, and became the team's outcast. Obviously, in the tactical system of Spanish coach Antonio Gomez, Hao Haiyi has no place.

If what happened to Liu Chaoyang at Qingdao Hainiu is deplorable, then Hao Haiyi's complete neglect by Antonio Gomez is impossible to sympathize with. Aside from Hao Wei's personal crimes, Hao Haiyi's mediocre individual abilities make playing in the CSL a stretch. Had it not been for the connections and resources behind Hao Wei, the Qingdao Sea Cowboys might not have loaned him out this season.

Hao Haiyi has mediocre individual ability and a lack of experience in the Chinese Super League. Even in Shandong Luneng, where his father coaches, he has rarely had the opportunity to appear. According to statistics, Hao Haiyi has only represented the team in the FA Cup since his debut, and his experience in the Chinese Super League is blank.

The fall from grace of such an inexperienced and generally competent man with the Qingdao Sea Cowboys may seem absurd, but it is logical. It is expected that Hao Haiyi will be returned to Shandong Luneng by the team at the end of this season, at which time his future in soccer is in doubt.
