Chelsea winger Medilli, with a price tag of £88 million (about HK$870 million), has however been overlooked by new manager Maresca this season and has been relegated to the bench with just seven Premier League appearances, including just two starts. Meanwhile, another London side, Crystal Palace, are interested in loaning the 23-year-old Ukrainian international, which seems to offer him a chance to make a comeback.
Although Medilik looked to be on the rebound last season after contributing 5 goals in 31 Premier League appearances, he has repeated the same mistake this season and has been relegated to the bench for long periods of time, scoring only 2 goals in the Eredivisie. However, looking at the overall picture, Medilli seems to be out of Maliska's plans and it seems only a matter of time before he is loaned out or sold.
In recent years, the departure of two of Crystal Palace's leading wingers, Werfelt Sachs and Michael Ollis, has led to the loss of the team's strength and deteriorating results. Now, they have slipped to the edge of the relegation zone of the league, and are in urgent need of reinforcements to stabilize their defense. Therefore, they are interested in bringing in Medillin to strengthen their offense.
It's worth noting that Chelsea have previously loaned out midfielder Ganagar Licha to Crystal Palace for workouts, and this loan from Mediatek seems to be expected.
