Saturday night 2 was a dark night for the Premier League as Arsenal and Manchester City both suffered defeats, while Liverpool struggled to win in the face of adversity. Early in the game, Gap and Mohammed Shah scored a goal apiece as the hosts beat Brighton 2-1 to push City to the top of the table. However, the win came at a steep price for the Reds. The Reds' defense was overshadowed by an injury to midfielder Ibrahim Makanadi, who will miss the UEFA Europa League home match against Leverkusen in the early hours of Wednesday morning (6).
Liverpool missed a great chance at the start of the game. D'Avignonis broke through the defense with an individual effort and fired a shot at the near post, but it was valiantly saved by keeper Warbogen. Whiteleyton escaped with a goal, but were unlucky to do so. Cardiolu opened the record books on 14 minutes, with the Turkey international following suit with a finish in the air.
However, Liverpool's nightmare really began in the second half. Ibasi Maganadi was injured towards the end of the first half, struggling to bandage his left arm with a pained expression and a suspected fracture. He was forced to be replaced by Zukomis in the second half.
After the changeover, Liverpool picked up their form and created a lot of threats, and Mohammed Shah's one-two was deflected by Warbogen. After 70 minutes of intense fighting, the Reds finally equalized, Gap crossed from the left, and Mohammed Shah, who was in front of the goal, put a beautiful shot into the goal. Two minutes later, Mohammed Shah scored again to help Liverpool to a 2-1 victory. In his last six league games, he has won five and drawn one, ahead of Manchester City in second place.
Ibrahim Maganadi will undergo a full examination. He knows that he has to be strong as Gomes and Chalor Konsa, the two replacement centerpieces, are still inconsistent and the defense will be tested if he is unable to play for Livaguson.
