Coach Molenu was busy directing the daily training at Ferenbages. However, an accident happened without warning. A player accidentally kicked Molenu with his foot, causing him to fall to the ground in pain. It was only with the assistance of a medic that the 61-year-old legendary Portuguese coach was able to be removed from the field. Molenu uploaded the scene to social media platforms and warned fellow coaches to avoid wearing the same color shirt as the player to avoid a repeat of the incident.
During the training session, the team was divided into two teams and engaged in an intense passing and tackling game. Molenu, wearing a dark shirt, was directing the team from the sidelines when an "opponent" player wearing a similarly colored training undershirt accidentally fell down from behind. Molenu tried to get up, but the injury was too serious for him to move independently, and he left the field with the help of the players and the army doctor.
Luckily for Molenu, his injury is not serious. He humorously poked fun at himself on social media, saying, "As important as this session is, don't do what I do and wear shirts of the same color, or someone might have to kick you when the other team passes the ball."
