Tottenham Hotspur beat Aston Villa 4-1 at home in a Premier League match on Sunday. Although the team welcomed back Son Heung-min from injury, he was substituted in the second half due to an emotional outburst. After the match, the team leader Pusztigoluszai explained this and finally prompted Son Heung-min to calm down. Pusdigolusay said, "Considering Sun Heung-min's physical condition, I was worried that he might get injured again, so I made the decision to make the substitution."

In the first half of the game, Tottenham Hotspur was 0-1 down, but only 4 minutes after the change of sides, Heung-min Son left the field due to injury, and was assisted by Bilan Johnson to help his team equalize the score. 7 minutes later, Richard Litchen replaced Heung-min Son. When Son Heung-min saw his number on the replacement card, he looked incredulous. After returning to the bench, he lost control of his emotions and vented wildly. But in the end, Tottenham's Solanki scored twice, together with James Maddison's goal, to seal the 4-1 victory.

Pusdigolusai further explained in his post-match interview, "I have had similar injuries before, so I was adamant that I would not allow Son Heung-min to be overworked in this match. He was physically exhausted after only 60 minutes on his return, so he wouldn't have played the full 55 minutes anyway. Fortunately, he also made a great assist before leaving. We haven't replaced any other players and we don't need to worry about him. There are many more games waiting for him in the future."
