In the early hours of Sunday morning's thrilling match, Gerlian Live came down like a tiger, with a brilliant long-range strike helping Marseille revive their fortunes with a 2-1 comeback against Nantes. Monaco's loss, meanwhile, allowed Marseille to close the gap on Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and keep their slim hopes of a title bid alive.

Looking back at the last round of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain suffered a crushing defeat, with Gerlian Livet being targeted for his lackluster performance and being replaced by his coach in the first half. The 23-year-old English winger, however, rose to the occasion and started the game with a fierce attack, but his shot was saved by the opponent's goalkeeper.

Marseille took advantage of the situation and opened the scoring after 24 minutes when Jonathon Llewellyn's pinpoint cross from the left was snapped up by Ma'obi for an easy goal. Nantes striker Kadiweni then equalized.

On the changeover, Gerlian Livet was once again in the spotlight as he hit a beautiful shot from the top of the box to seal the win for Marseille, who have now narrowed the gap between the team and Paris Saint-Germain to six points.

With seven goals in Ligue 1 so far this season, Grillenhaupt has become the second most efficient Marseille player in terms of scoring efficiency since the 21st century, behind only Balodili's record of seven goals in nine games in 2019.
