Manchester United's recent striker additions have failed to satisfy fans, however, youngster Obi Martin, who has emerged from Arsenal's youth ranks this summer, has been hailed as a 'monster' star. The 16-year-old striker scored a hat-trick in just 14 minutes on his United U18 debut on Saturday (26), shocking the crowd!
The 1.88-meter tall teenager had already made a name for himself in the Arsenal youth team last season. After moving to Manchester United this summer, the formalities of his transfer were delayed until earlier this month when he was officially approved by the Premier League due to the transfer fee. On Saturday, in the United U18 match at Nottingham Forest, Obi Martyn scored shortly after the opening goal off an opponent's mistake, followed by another goal in three minutes, completing his hat-trick in just 14 minutes. In the end, Manchester United U18 thrashed their opponents 6-0.
Obi Martyn scored 32 goals for Arsenal U18 last season, reaching the feat of scoring three or more goals on six occasions, including seven goals in a single game. He even helped Arsenal sweep Liverpool 14-3 in the U16 league last November, showing his amazing goal-scoring ability. I'm sure the young talent's Manchester United debut is just around the corner.
