Rumors are rife that La Liga giants Real Madrid intend to take Manchester City midfielder Rodrigo Casciandi, and the 28-year-old Spanish international is once again being hotly debated as he faces a crucial UEFA Europa League home game against Inter Milan. He has made it clear that he has a three-year contract in hand and will not consider leaving the club before the end of his contract. Manchester City are also interested in retaining the central player for a significant sum of money and have vowed to put Real Madrid's takeover plans to bed.
Facing transfer rumors, Lodi Kasjandi expressed his strong commitment to City, "I still have three years left on my contract with City, and when I chose to sign the contract, it meant that I was willing to join another team. Regarding the transfer, I will actively communicate for the next three years." According to The Athletic, City plan to offer Lodi Kasjandi a new contract with a salary of up to £400,000 (HK$4.1 million) per year, putting him on course to become the third highest paid player in the squad after Enin Sharamat and Chiyun Dibny.
However, City's contract extension talks with Lodi Kasjandi have yet to get off the ground and the process is not expected to be brought to a conclusion until next summer at the earliest.
