At home in the league, Wolverhampton Wanderers suffered a crushing defeat, with a jaw-dropping 2-6 scoreline. It was at this point that the club's hierarchy reacted quickly. As the transfer window was about to close, they launched an urgent recruitment campaign. The club reached an agreement with defense stalwart Maybjerg and goalkeeper Shidoshi Morisho, with the intention of reinforcing the team's backline.

At just 18 years of age and standing at 1.91 meters tall, Mébillot is highly regarded as a French international. He started out in Ligue 1 with Nantes and although he only made one appearance for Nantes B, he became the youngest player in Ligue 1 history to be ejected from a game with Nantes' first team when he was sent off for a red card after just nine minutes.

31-year-old Morisho Stone, the England veteran was trained at Manchester United's youth camp and has played at all levels of the league. After a number of tests, he is set to join Crystal Palace where he will take on a new challenge. In his career, he has made 34 appearances, including 11 clean sheets. Wolves are reported to have paid a transfer fee of $10 million to sign him and have signed him on a four-year contract with a one-year extension option. With this, the Wolves are expected to improve significantly at the back.
