Transfer Winds has exclusively revealed that Arsenal have reached an agreement with Porto to allow central midfielder Fabio Vela to move to the Portuguese Premier League giants on loan. The 24-year-old Portuguese international had been scouted by the Porto youth academy two years ago and decided to return to his homeland due to the length of his contract.
It has been revealed that Vela has undergone a full medical at Porto and will play in this way for one season, with no buyout option included in his contract, meaning he will be back in the Arsenal fold next season.Arsenal bought Vela from Porto for nearly €30 million (HK$310 million) in the summer of 2022, however, he has been on the bench for a long period of time with the team, and has only made 33 Premier League appearances in two seasons, scoring two goals. With Arsenal's crowded midfield squad, the team has already sold Immerson Vieira to Fulham and now Fabio Vela's departure seems inevitable.
