Chelsea have put winger Staanen on hold for the time being as a temporary tactical adjustment only. According to the UK Telegraph, the Blues intend to trade Staanen for the Manchester United winger in order to probe the family's secret history and gain access to the resources they need.

Chelsea thrashed Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-2 in the Premier League, yet Staanen was nowhere to be seen. He was not in the squad for any of the three official matches at the start of the season. Moreover, his No. 7 has been taken back by Pedro Nieto, and Staanen's position in the team is in jeopardy. At the same time, Chelsea wants to bring in Chaton Sinzu, while Manchester United is also interested in selling the high-priced "water goods", the two play in a similar way and position, the two clubs players swap, is a win-win strategy.

More crucially, Staanen's weekly salary is as high as £325,000 (about HK$3.35 million), and Chaton Sinzu's weekly salary is also as high as £300,000 (about HK$3.1 million). Obviously, it is difficult for other clubs to afford these two highly paid players at the same time. Therefore, the player exchange between Chelsea and Manchester United has become the most convenient and direct solution.
