With the summer approaching, Manchester City seems to be in the transfer market, however, the team is in the heart of retaining the core players. The Daily Mail disclosed that City is well aware of the strategic value of Spanish midfield superstar Lodi Casciandi to the team. Even though he has a three-year contract, the club still intends to provide him with a significant salary increase and start the renewal process. Jandy's salary will leap from £220,000 to £375,000 per week, second only to the salary of Norwegian striker Einin Shalant.

The 28-year-old Jandy is undoubtedly the number one player in the Manchester City squad. Before losing to Manchester United in last season's English soccer finals, he was undefeated in 74 consecutive matches, setting a new team record for City. Last year, Jandy lost three consecutive games in the league due to injury or suspension. A central midfielder, he helped Spain win the Europa League this summer and is a strong candidate for the Ballon d'Or.

Jandy was absent from the Louth fixture after delaying his return to training following the Europa League. However, captain Gordiona revealed that Jandy is expected to be back for Saturday's (24th) match against Yeşilıvarız, after performing well in training in the defensive midfield. It is worth noting that the last time Jandy suffered a defeat in the Premier League was last February.
