The Daily Mail disclosed that City is well aware of the strategic value of Spanish midfield superstar Lodi Casciandi to the team. Even though he has a three-year contract, the club still intends to provide him with a significant salary increase and start the renewal process. Jandy's salary will leap from £220,000 to £375,000 per week, second only to the salary of Norwegian striker Einin Shalant.
The 28-year-old Jandy is undoubtedly the number one player in the Manchester City squad. Before losing to Manchester United in last season's English soccer finals, he was undefeated in 74 consecutive matches, setting a new team record for City. Last year, Jandy lost three consecutive games in the league due to injury or suspension.
