A new chapter in Argentina's soccer army has been ushered in, as manager Steve Scaloni unveiled his roster for next month's World Cup qualifiers. Although the star of the show, Merce, has had to leave the club due to injury, young strikers such as Giuliano, a close disciple of Szémonyi, have been given a chance to step up to the next level.

Since his injury in the CONCACAF final on July 15, Mays has been on a long rehabilitation journey. The failure to make the national team squad, while expected, provided Scaloni with the opportunity to select young players. He chose newcomers such as Giuliano of Marco Experience, Castellanos of Lasso, and Roma's Matias Sully, with the intention of injecting new energy into the Argentine team.

Giuliano is undoubtedly the center of attention, as Schmoney's favorite, he played and scored for Argentina at the Paris Olympics, and is seen as a more promising player than Chiovanni Schmoney and Kianluca Schmoney. As a result, Giuliano is the only one of the Schmone family to be selected for the national team.

Despite the absence of Mez, the Argentinean side still has some solid strikers such as Nadalu Martinez, Zulian Ivaris and Alejandro Canazo, and Argentina will face Chile at home on September 6, followed by a road match against Colombia on the 5th.
