As Manchester United's Phil Cunth bid farewell to the legendary division last summer, there was a mystery as to where he was going. The England international quietly announced his retirement from the pitch before hitting the threshold of 33, but vowed to move off the pitch to become the team's new helmsman.

Dating back to 2011, Phil Canes joined Manchester United as a tramp and spent 229 passionate years here, delivering six goals and eight assists, however injuries became a regular feature of his career. He last played for United in May 2022, in other words, he did not appear on the pitch in the 2022/23 season. His departure from the team in June last year drew criticism, with some even accusing him of backing out of the game.

After saying goodbye to the pitch, Phil Canes went into soccer punditry, while coaching the U14 and U18 youth sides. His status seems to be no different from that of a retired player. In a recent interview with the media, he finally spilled the beans, admitting that he has officially retired and is fully preparing for the transition, expecting to show leadership at a managerial level in the future.
