In the just-concluded last season, the VAR system of the Premier League was full of controversies, with frequent errors and omissions, which triggered the dissatisfaction of fans and clubs. In an effort to reverse this situation, the Premier League has been completely revamped for the new season. On Wednesday (14th), Premier League officials will unveil a series of new rules and create an official account on social networks called "Nearly Instant", which aims to explain on-field decisions and improve the transparency of the game.

According to Premier League officials, "Ahead of the official opening of the 24/25 season, social platform X has opened the @PLMatchCentre, which will ensure that information about on-field decisions in every Premier League match is posted at the fastest possible speed, including the referee's decision-making process with VAR."

The move has won the approval of many fans, who believe it will significantly improve the transparency of the game. At the same time, however, many fans have expressed doubts, fearing that even so, if the refereeing standards of the Premier League do not improve, the X-accounts may just turn into a "peanut gallery" for netizens to chat about, and a stage for PGMOL to apologize for incorrect decisions.
