A pre-season warm-up match sparked in the dim light of Sunday morning in the touristy land of Malta. Bayern Munich narrowly beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2, and the 'uncrowned king', Halikani, a striker who suffered a fall from grace in his homeland, finally tasted the long overdue title. However, the proud star refused to go on stage to receive the award as captain, apparently unwilling to touch the sensitive hearts of the Spurs fans in his home club.

Recall that Bayern Munich won the South Korean match on August 3 by a score of 2-1, but Khalilani returned to London to act as a substitute after choosing to take a leave of absence from the team after the Europa League final.

Tottenham Hotspur took the lead just a minute into the match with a goal from Galuszewski, but Bayern quickly turned the game around with goals from Uber Mecanu, Kenobi and Thomas May to take a 3-1 lead at halftime. In the second half, Tottenham recovered with a goal from Galuszewski, but could not recover from the defeat.

The protagonist, Halikani, replaced Gammage on the field and received the armband of the opposing team's captain only when the match reached the 80th minute. After the match, he returned the armband to Gammage, shaking his head lightly as if to explain his refusal to receive the award.

Eventually, Kepo was substituted in the second half and captain Newa led the team to the podium to present the awards, with Halikani standing silently on the sidelines in a low-key gesture that showed his respect for Tottenham.

Halikani confessed after the game, "I thought it was strange that when I walked into the away dressing room in my jersey, I shouldn't have been playing because I was reviewing the day before. But it meant a lot to me to play for 10 minutes." These words reveal how much Carney cares about the Spurs fans and he shows real emotion and loyalty on the pitch.
