Manchester City goalkeeper Aidachen Moras saved the day, pouncing on a penalty from Chaton Sinzu to seal the deal with a home goal in the heated Community Shield clash. The Brazilian goalkeeper, who is 31 years old, turned down a huge contract with the Saudi Arabian giants to play alongside the team, removing a major source of uncertainty for the team, captain Gaudiona proudly announced.

Previously, it was rumored that Saudi soccer duo Ainas and Ittihad wanted to sign Aidachen Moras with a whopping weekly salary of £900,000 (about HK$9 million), however the goalkeeper had other options. Gordiona's latest statement emphasized that the core players must stay in the team: "I firmly believe that Adinson Moras and Steffen Odiga will stay in the team, especially Adinson. Their presence is crucial, stabilizing the team at the back. I am glad they have chosen to stay." Aidachen Moras has played over 300 games for Manchester City since joining the club.

At present, Aidachen Moras earns £100,000 a week. It is reported that Manchester City are preparing to give him a 75% pay rise, bringing his weekly salary to £175,000 (about HK$1.75 million). Although this is not as rich as the Saudi soccer club, it is certainly the best proof of City's loyalty to the goalkeeper.
