Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) recently made a high-profile announcement that they have signed 19-year-old Binfiga midfield star Zuonieves to a five-year deal for a transfer fee of 70 million euros (about HK$600 million). The move signals that PSG will step up the sale of midfielder Vinlur Ugadi to strengthen the squad.

The transfer fee for Zuonieves is said to include a fixed transfer fee of €60 million and a variable transfer fee of up to €10 million. As part of the deal, PSG will also loan Portuguese midfielder Nadol Sintes from their squad to Benfica. It is worth noting that the 26-year-old Nadau Sintjes was born in the Binfiga youth system and has been a disappointment since his move to Bayern in 2016.

Despite his notable achievements during his time at Bayern and PSG, Nadol Sintjes has yet to improve his form. Last season, he scored only 12 goals during his loan spell at Roma, and was regarded as a watered-down player. This time, PSG overpaid for the Binfiga player, and one can't help but worry if they will buy the wrong player again this time.

Zuoniewicz, a professional defensive midfielder, appeared in 55 games for Penfiga last season, scoring just three goals. He is good at defending as well as contributing on the offensive end. The signing of Zuonieves has certainly dimmed the prospects of Vinlur Ugadi at PSG. Meanwhile, Manchester United plan to acquire the 23-year-old Uruguayan international, but the two clubs are still in disagreement over the transfer fee.
