30, Tuesday, Premier League powerhouse Arsenal officially announced that Bologna's Italian international Caraccioli has officially joined the team. The transfer deal is reportedly worth up to 42 million pounds. The 22-year-old defender will wear the No. 33 jersey. After a recent medical in London, Caracoli arrived at Arsenal's training camp in the United States on Tuesday and is expected to play a friendly against Liverpool earlier on Thursday.
Karakoli was thrilled after signing the contract: "I feel so incredible, ever since I was 12 or 13 years old I dreamt of playing in the Premier League and the persuasion of Adidah and Ido (the director) has only strengthened my resolve to join Arsenal." After meeting and warmly embracing Adi Da, Karakoli flew straight to the United States to join the team, lamenting, "Isn't it true?" For his part, Adi Da responded, "It's a fact that's too true to be true!"
Caracoli also revealed that his Italian national teammate Zorzanu Ferlu had also persuaded him to join: "He has been encouraging me to join Arsenal, which is the best choice I have made for the next few years. In fact, I decided (to join) a long time ago." Caracoli, who is from Roma's youth team, moved to Bologna from Basel in Switzerland two years ago, and performed well for the team last year and in the national team tournament in the summer.
