In the summer window this season, United splashed out nearly £100 million (about HK$1 billion) to secure striker Joshua Shukes and core Yolo, however, the Tannhäuser leader remains dissatisfied with the rate of progress of the existing squad and has vowed to continue to bring in reinforcements to deepen the thickness of the squad in order to prevent a repeat of last season's mistake due to an injury-ridden squad.

Tannhäuser said: "We have managed to sign two good players, but a strong squad is the ultimate thing I am looking for. If all the players are at their best, I believe we can beat any opponent. Depth of squad is crucial. Injuries put us in a difficult position last season and we can't afford to make the same mistake in the new season, so we need to continue to build up the squad.

It is understood that Tannhäuser plans to bring in another defensive midfielder along with a strong right back, and may even be looking for midfielders again. The targets are Banfwedi and Mathias Dillet. Meanwhile, the team is interested in selling two midfielders, Kasmiru and McTomini, in order to raise enough money for transfers.
