In big news for the USL on Tuesday, high-profile international stars Mathias and Luis Suarez will miss Thursday's (25th) USL Pro Stars game due to injury. They suffered injuries during the U.S. Nations Cup, with Mays facing a long layoff due to ankle ligament damage and Suarez opting to temporarily withdraw from the match due to "knee discomfort".

The event will see the challenge of the Mexican Premier League Stars, with 18 players set to feature in the US Pro Stars lineup. Despite the absence of Mez and Suarez, international Miami stars such as Busquets and Zodi Abba will be in attendance. The lineup will also include such notable players as French goalkeeper Loris, Italian midfielder Benedettizzi, and Belgian striker Bindiki.

The U.S. Pro Stars have faced off with the Mexican Premier League Stars for two years since the epidemic was suspended in 2020. Last year (2023), English Premier League powerhouse Arsenal was invited to participate but lost 0-5, while in both 2021 and 2022, the U.S. Pro Stars finished with victories.
