A mysterious deal for soccer talent is quietly festering, featuring English Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa. The Tottenham side intends to swap Villa's accumulation of players with Lance for Luszow and £19 million (about HK$190 million), a deal that seems set to be finalized in a flash.
The latest news from the British media claims that Tottenham are eyeing 23-year-old midfielder Jaeger and Lance, while Villa are interested in bringing in the 28-year-old Argentine midfielder, an Argentine star who is also a committed vegetarian. The two teams seem to have reached an understanding, with Spurs willing to fill the remaining difference for £19 million to ensure the deal goes through.
Jaeger-Lens made 21 appearances in last season's matches, contributing one goal and two assists, but his total playing time was limited to 1,060 minutes due to injuries. Luschu, on the other hand, was a key substitute for Tottenham and made 24 appearances last season, scoring twice and not assisting much, but his playing time was 597 minutes. It's worth noting that Luschsu, who shone at the U.S. Nations Cup, helping Argentina win the title, dished out one assist in five games while picking up two yellow card cautions.
