As the night wore on, Manchester United had their first pre-season warm-up game of the new season, but they were not expected to be dealt a blow. They were unable to recover from the defeat in the extra time of the away match against Lossingenburg, and went home with 0-1 defeat. Had it not been for the goal frame, United would have scored a goal. Meanwhile, the center of the midfield, Casimiru, suffered a brutal kick from the opponent during the match, but he was not seriously hurt, which was a blessing.
Given that many of the main players are busy with the Europa League and Copa America, only five regulars are left in the United squad, including Rashford, Monty, Kasmiru, Yumbi Shaka, and Johnny Evans. The players are not yet in a stable form and are in an unfavorable situation after a poor performance after the match.
Just 11 minutes into the game, United came close to conceding a goal, but fortunately Lossingborough were ruled offside. Kasmilu went down in agony in the next moment when he was hit on the knee by a vicious flying tackle from rival Niemiec. After emergency treatment, he held on to finish the game. United are reportedly interested in selling the 32-year-old Brazilian and if the deal goes sour, it will undoubtedly have a knock-on effect on transfer plans.
Lossingborough were on the attack and Boholm's shot hit the post and another powerful shot hit the crossbar. After the changeover, United made 10 substitutions but failed to turn the game around. Goalkeeper Vidic was the busiest player in the match. Löschingborg midfielder Pogilette hit the post after Vidic's shot. Federico Richen broke through on the side and hit the post again with a shot. It was evident that the United defense was under tremendous pressure.
Despite four goal blocks, United were unable to hold off the visitors in stoppage time as Noah Holm struck a shot for the only goal of the game.
United will play their second warm-up game in Glasgow on Saturday night (20) after the loss, before embarking on a 'tour of America'. They will face Arsenal, Betis and Liverpool, before going head-to-head with Manchester City on August 10th.
