United heartthrob Casimiro has long been abuzz with transfer rumors about him after his performances last season didn't seem to live up to expectations, and despite plans to sell his 32-year-old Brazilian international in this summer window, buyers from all sides have been hesitant to do so.

According to the British media disclosure, if Manchester United want to cut ties with Kasimiru or forced to find a home for his next, need to bear up to 25 million pounds (about 247 million Hong Kong dollars) of the huge amount of wages. In view of the club's financial pressure, Kasimiru may continue to stay in the team.

Earlier, it was rumored that Saudi giants Aynas were interested in bringing in Kasmiru, but the £30 million (HK$297 million) transfer fee offered by Manchester United has thrown the deal into disarray. The Saudi club signed their star player at a high price only to find that he did not perform as expected. This summer, they have turned to a more conservative reinforcement strategy, especially for Kasmiru, a player with a weekly salary of £350,000 (about HK$3.46 million), which has deterred many potential buyers. Manchester United's road to attracting reinforcements appears to be extremely arduous. Unless Kasmiru is willing to significantly reduce his transfer fee, United will have to compensate him for the remaining two years of his contract, totaling up to $25 million, and terminate his contract early.

Last year, Manchester United were in a similar predicament. They originally intended to sell Halimaguni to Westham, but the midfielder's demand for salary compensation caused the deal to fall through. Kasmiru's transfer prospects may be set to repeat the same mistake this time around.
