The drums of war were beating at Wimbledon Tennis Stadium in England as British players geared up to take on Serbian tennis superstar Zugovic. However, Tuesday's (25) flight to Munich, Germany, carrying a superfan who was only there to support the European national team, failed to go as planned. Zugovic's team crashed out of the tournament after the final round clash between Serbia and Denmark ended in a 0-0 handshake.

The tennis great had earlier withdrawn from the French Open due to injury and is slowly recovering from knee surgery. Nevertheless, Zugovic is well prepared for the upcoming Tempelhof tournament. In a match that will determine Serbia's fate, the fan wore his national team's jersey with "No. 1" printed on it and sang the Serbian national anthem, and was even captured by convention photographers on the venue's big screen.

Fans were tense and enthusiastic, posing for photos with their fellow fans, but in the end, Serbia's draw with Denmark left Zugovic disappointed. The superstar, who holds 23 Grand Slam trophies, is currently recovering at Wimbledon, however, no decision has been made about whether he will compete at the US Open. If he does, the title seems to be within his reach.
