The game generated $18.8 million in ticket sales, setting a new record for the Suns. Even Spain's game against Croatia, which drew 68,844, couldn't match that. And Germany's opening game against Scotland recorded 65,052, more than 5,000 fewer than Argentina.
Perhaps some Hong Kong fans are not keen on the Mets, but the fact remains that Argentina's attendance has been boosted by the Mets and the angelic Di Maria has shown his class again this year.
