Manchester United's summer transfer window is making waves again, and rumor has it that the team is planning a player purge, with striker Rashford listed as the focal point of the transfer rumors. However, the British media broke the shocking news that the 26-year-old England international is adamant that he does not want to leave the team, and if the club insists on selling, he may even ask for as much as 70 million pounds in compensation.

Looking back at last season, Rashford shone, making 56 appearances and scoring 30 goals. However, his form has taken a nosedive since his contract was renewed and he has scored just 8 goals in 40 games this season. New United boss Ratcliffe has been meeting with "Foo" in an attempt to solve the mystery. Although "Lord" had hoped that Rashford would stay, the transfer is still uncertain.

According to inside sources, Lashford will not leave the team easily unless he is compensated for the remaining wages on his contract. If everything goes his way, Foo's contract will expire in 2028 and the remaining wages will be £70 million by then.

This is not the first time United have been hit by such a fiasco. Last summer, the team had plans to sell midfielder Harry Magouni, with rumors claiming that he made a condition to leave and demanded that the club pay £20 million in wages for the remainder of his contract. In the end, Magouni stayed at United and Lashford seems to be learning from the experience.
